Join the Band: Discovering Your Musical Voice 🎺

Our band program is where students come together to learn and grow as musicians. We focus on the fundamentals of instrumental technique and music reading skills, giving you the tools to play with confidence. You'll also explore music theory and music history, connecting what you play to the broader world of music. As a large ensemble, you'll learn to collaborate and create something bigger than yourself, making new friends and memories along the way.

Performance and Beyond

Being in the band is about more than just practice; it's about performance and community. All students participate in two formal concerts per year, giving you the chance to showcase your hard work and share your music with an audience. For second-year band members, there are additional exciting opportunities, such as performing in parades and participating in special VBODA district events. These experiences help you develop your skills and connect with a wider musical community.
