Experience

Mrs. Nicholson has been in education for 17 years, including the past 12 years with Winchester Public Schools. During her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, math specialist, and, most recently, as the K–12 Mathematics Supervisor. She has led curriculum development, professional learning, and division-wide initiatives while working alongside admin, teachers, students, and families to support student success. Mrs. Nicholson is excited to return to Daniel Morgan Intermediate School, where her Winchester Public Schools journey began as a long-term substitute teacher, and looks forward to supporting students, staff, and families as Assistant Principal.

Experience

Mr. Smith is a Winchester Public Schools alumnus and has been in education for 19 years.  He taught Geometry, Earth Science II, World History I, VA & US History, US Government, and special education, and he coached softball for the first 17 years of his career before coming home to WPS as the Diversity Recruitment & Retention Specialist in 2022.
